Terms of Service

1. About Setondji Hub

Setondji Hub is a digital platform that aggregates and distributes youth opportunities (jobs, internships, scholarships, competitions, training, volunteering, calls for projects) across French-speaking Africa. It connects candidate users with partner institutions (companies, NGOs, universities, public bodies).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Setondji Hub — including creating an account, browsing opportunities, or signing in with Google — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

3. Account Registration

You may register by email/password or via Google OAuth 2.0. When signing in with Google, we receive only your email address, Google ID, and optionally your name and profile photo. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or Contacts.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities occurring under your account.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree not to:

• Impersonate any person or organization
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Scrape or automatically extract data without written permission
• Use the platform for spam, phishing, or any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Post content that is discriminatory, defamatory, hateful, or infringes third-party rights

5. Google Sign-In

Setondji Hub uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) as an optional authentication method. The data we receive from Google is limited to: your email address, Google ID, and optionally your display name and profile photo.

This data is used solely to create and manage your account. We do not sell, share, or use Google user data for advertising. You can revoke Setondji Hub's access to your Google account at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. Intellectual Property

The platform — its structure, code, design, logo, and editorial content — is the exclusive property of SETONDJI HUB, protected under Benin's Code du Numérique (Law N°2017-20 of April 20, 2018) and the OAPI Bangui Agreement.

You retain ownership of content you submit (CV, cover letters, profile). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display and store it solely for the purpose of operating the service.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Opportunities listed on the platform originate from third-party institutions or public sources. Setondji Hub does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or outcome of any opportunity. We are not a party to the agreements concluded between candidates and institutions.

To the extent permitted by law, SETONDJI HUB shall not be liable for indirect damages including loss of opportunity resulting from use of or inability to use the platform.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings or by contacting hello@setondji.site. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Benin, specifically Law N°2017-20 of April 20, 2018 (Code du Numérique) and the OHADA Uniform Act on General Commercial Law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Cotonou, Benin.
